About

Background

Coming from a multicultural and multidisciplinary background allows me to solve problems in a unique way. I approach problems with humility, curiosity, and an open mind, striving for a transparent and collaborative design process.

Past Experience

In my prior roles as a product designer, I have experienced both working as the only designer on the team as well as working closely with a lead designer in the end-to-end design process, from research to prototyping and testing.

Currently

I am currently working at American Express, where I am leading the design of the global inbound marketing platforms responsible for consumer, corporate, and small business segments.

Future

I want to continue growing as a designer in an environment where design, creativity, transparency, and diversity are valued.

Photography 

I have an MS in Biological Photography and Imaging, and I love taking pictures. I find it very relaxing, meditative, and it allows my creativity to flow. You can check out some of my photography here: https://www.nadiaraywardphotography.com/

Conservation

Ever since I took an Environmental Ethics course while studying Biology in college, I have been passionate about conservation and, as a result, have made changes to my lifestyle. Here is a video that I created a few years back: https://vimeo.com/196659075

Scuba Diving

I have been really lucky to have the opportunity to scuba dive in four different countries with amazing biodiversity. I love being in the water and feeling like I am part of the ocean.

Cooking

Making changes to my diet eight years ago has pushed me to be creative in the kitchen. I really like trying new recipes, creating new ones, and aspire to write my own cookbook someday!

Arts & Crafts

I love taking classes here and there to learn new techniques. So far, I have explored pottery, drawing, painting, sewing, letterpress printing, and currently exploring candle making.

Dancing

I have taken classes here and there, but I am not an expert in any type of dance. I just enjoy feeling the beat and making up dance moves. 

Music

You can find all kinds of music in my playlist; house, samba, rock, ska, rap, pop, reggaeton, flamenco...everything! I love discovering old and new music. Always open to recommendations! 

Travel

My parents are both from different countries and I was raised in a third culture which has allowed me to be immersed in three cultures from a very young age. This diversity gave me the "travel bug" from as long as I can remember. I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and have working knowledge of other European languages. I love learning about new cultures and getting lost in them.
